The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
